The Invisible Wound
Once there was a boy who often got bad temper. When he
asked his father about how to control his temper, his father some nails and
hammer and asked him to hammer a nail to the fence whenever he gets bad temper.
On the next day the boy
hammered 45 nails. Over the next month the number of nails hammered into the
fence kept reducing, because the boy was able to control his bad temper
gradually. No he realised that it is
easier to control the temper than to hammer the nails into the fence.
When the boy told his father
that he was able to control his bad temper totally, then his father asked him
pullout every nail one by one if his bad temper is under control. As the boy
completed pulling out all the nails from the fence, he reported to his father.
The father said, “Look at the
fence my dear son, now the fence is not as it was, there are number of holes
giving a dirty look. That means whatever you say out of bad temper or whatever
you do in a bad temper, it always leaves a black mark to your character. No matter
how many times you say SORRY, the invisible wound will always be there.
