Worrying Never Solves a Problem

Once a worried family man approached a saint and explained about the worries in his family.

The saint without uttering a word started holding up a glass with some water in it. He asked the man, “Tell me how much this glass could weigh?”

‘Could be around 100 gms!’, the man replied.

Saint asked again, “Tell me what if I hold this glass for 10 minutes?”

“Nothing”, the man replied.

“Ok, fine, what if I hold this glass in my hand for one hour?” asked the saint. The man replied “You hand would be paining”

“You’re correct; now tell me what if I hold it for a day?”, asked the saint.

The man replied “Your arm would become numb and you would feel severe muscle stress!”

“OK, now tell me, will there be any change if I keep on holding this glass?” asked the saint.

“No” the man replied.

“Then why should the arm ache and cause muscle stress?” saint asked again.

The man had no answer for this.

Now the saint explained the man, “Our life’s problems are something like this. If we keep on holding the problems in our mind for long then they begin to ache and create mental worry and stress. By merely worrying the problem never gets solved”.

“It’s necessary to consider the problems as challenge, moreover we must have faith and trust in our God and pass on the problems to the God every day before we go to bed. By this way your stress is totally reduced, and you awake with fresh mind and strong and can handle any type problem like a challenge!”

Do not worry too much and create chaos in your life.
